NLWA member and Director Alan Hand has been voluntarily performing water quality tests on Northwood Lake for years. Much of the water quality data that exists for Northwood Lake is a direct result of Alan's time and effort.

Alan is Northwood Lake's representative in the State of New Hampshire's DES Volunteer Lake Assessment Program (VLAP). If you have an interest in water quality and water testing, and are looking for a good excuse to get out on the lake for a few hours two or three times a year, get in touch with Alan or send email to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it . It's one small way you can help preserve and protect our lake.
