NLWA member and Director Alan Hand has been voluntarily performing water quality tests on Northwood Lake for years. Much of the water quality data that exists for Northwood Lake is a direct result of Alan's time and effort.

Alan is Northwood Lake's representative in the State of New Hampshire's DES Volunteer Lake Assessment Program (VLAP).
